B7 and B8 Stud FAQs

What is the difference between B7 and B8 studs?

B7 studs are hardened alloy steel with high strength for high-temperature service. B8 studs are stainless steel 304 and are chosen for corrosion resistance rather than strength.

How is the length of a stud bolt measured?

Stud bolt length is normally given from first thread to first thread, without the chamfered ends. Please mention how you measure it in your enquiry.
