An anchor fastener holds an object to concrete or masonry. It is placed in a drilled hole and expands or locks inside the hole when it is tightened or driven.
In solid concrete, wedge type anchors and heavy duty rawl bolts give the highest holding power in this range. The final choice depends on the size, the embedment depth and the concrete grade.
Expansion anchors are not suitable for hollow blocks. Use a fixing made for hollow material, or fix into a solid part of the wall.
