JMIKS Fasteners supplies L bolts (L type foundation bolts) in stainless steel SS 304, SS 316 and SS 202, mild steel 4.6 and 5.6, and high tensile 8.8 and 10.9. Sizes run from M6 to M36 and ¼” to 1-1/4″ BSW. L bolts are cast into concrete to hold columns, machines and poles.

What Is an L Bolt?

An L bolt is a foundation (anchor) bolt with a 90° bend at one end. The bent leg is cast into concrete, and the threaded end sticks out to hold a column base plate, machine or pole with nuts and washers. The bend stops the bolt from pulling out of the concrete. Foundation bolts are covered by IS 5624.

Stainless steel SS 304 / SS 316 for wet, coastal or chemical areas, and SS 202 for dry, indoor use

For outdoor and buried use, mild steel L bolts are usually hot dip galvanized.

What information do I need to order L bolts?

L bolt or J bolt: which should I use?

Both are bent foundation bolts and hold in concrete in the same way. An L bolt has a 90° bend, while a J bolt has a curved hook. Use the type shown on the structural drawing.

Are nuts and washers supplied with L bolts?

Yes, L bolts can be supplied with matching hex nuts and washers in a matching material. Mention the number of nuts and washers per bolt in your enquiry.
