JMIKS Fasteners supplies weld nuts in SS 304, SS 316 and SS 202, and in mild steel and high tensile grades, from M3 to M36 and ¼” to 1-1/4″ BSW. A weld nut is welded onto sheet metal to give a strong, permanent thread.

About Weld Nuts

Weld nuts have small projections that melt into the sheet during projection or spot welding. The nut then stays fixed, and a bolt can be fitted from the other side without holding the nut. Common types are hexagon weld nuts (DIN 929) and square weld nuts (DIN 928).

Hex weld nut or square weld nut?

Hex weld nuts (DIN 929) have three weld projections and suit most sheet metal work. Square weld nuts (DIN 928) have four projections and are easy to place on flat sheet.
